Ford Explorer or Ranger

When it is time to get a new truck or SUV and you are a Ford fan than it may be time to compare a few of the options that Ford has to offer. There are some full sized trucks like the Ford F150 and the Mega Super Duty but maybe you don’t need that big of a vehicle. The Ford Ranger is a bit smaller and is great for a blend of city life and country life. The new ones have pretty good gas mileage just check the owners manual for the details of what this nice truck has to offer. Even the older Ford Ranger is a good buy if you are trying to keep the payments down.

What about the Ford Explorer ? This vehicle is more expensive but has some different options. It is great for taking the whole family where ever you want to go. With a good after market manual even the older used versions are a good investment. They may need a little more work done as things get older but if you do you homework you will be able to find one that has not been driven to much.

Either way, getting out in one of the Ford vehicles is always a good time. The company is doing well during these hard times in America and it is working hard to continue to follow the new trends in the automotive industry. The are working with new technologies to come up with the best way to get great fuel mileage and help reduce emissions. They have been working on combining turbocharging technology with direct injection technology to create the TwinForce engine. This is just one step in the direction of a more efficient line of vehicles.

Bridgestone and the Open Road

The importance of good tires on your vehicle can’t be understated. It’s a true testament to the owner when a car or truck has been well-maintained over the years, and one of the first signs of this is the tire. It demonstrates a commitment to the vehicle, and the rewards are numerous. A good tire provides excellent performance, reliability in tight spots, and above all else, safety. These are not only good arguments for smart driving, but also good arguments for why bridgestone tires are a perfect choice to fit your vehicle for an excellent ride.

Having tires that are built to perform, like these are, can really make the difference between utility and pleasure. Of course, with Bridgestone, you get both. And if there’s a choice that involves both, then it makes sense to take it. Utility in tires means that it performs like it’s supposed to, handling all the possible road conditions, in cold or hot climates , and being able to hold up under the extremes with finesse and grace. Pleasure is in the riding, and it’s something that has to be experienced to fully understand. There are some tires that will do the job well, but there are others that perform above the standard, offering an amazing smoothness, and ability to take the curves with confidence.

One of the most elementary pleasures in life is to be able to drive on an open road, feeling the sense of freedom and adventure that highways and back roads can offer. There is a kind of lift in the spirit when you’re out driving, enjoying the scenery and the fresh air, and there’s also a certain joy that comes from knowing you’ll get to your destination. And with different styles and sizes available, there’s plenty to choose from to make the ride you want on the roads you like to travel.

Is Google Street View an invasion of privacy?

Google maps are an internet phenomenon. It takes pictures using a satellite of every location on the map of the world and the USA map. Just queue up your address and find your house, complete with your car in the driveway.

Creepy? Kinda, against the law? Hardly. There has been a debate since Google introduced the concept or street view in 2007. In street view users can gain access to the streets of major cities, the images are so sharp and up close, you can almost make out the facial features of people on the street.

Privacy groups think street view is a little too invasive since people are being photographed without their knowledge. Some sites have made light of the situation showing the funny things users can find in street view, such as a wardrobe malfunction, or a man mid sneeze.

Experts, however worry that the street view that allows you to hone in on a street map of Florida is a little much. There could be images that bring up liability issues or potentially cross the line. Google argues that what is done in broad daylight is fair game, because anyone can see that.

The street View is not in real time, so if you look at street view you are not seeing the world as it is happening now.

Perhaps Google’s street view can be used as a way to navigate through the street map of California, searching for your favorite celebrity.

Google street view is just like an updated version of this video game called The Sims. Where can walk the streets but in just virtual reality. And isn’t real reality so much better? Google street view could have a viable use, even if it’s mostly just internet fodder. Although it would be a cool way to travel the entire map of Europe without spending a dime.

Chrome Door Handles Finish The Look

Getting a good look for the truck or car you have is important.  Paying attention to the small details is the right way to go.  One of the first details to think about, especially when you are trying to get that old world look to your vehicle is to invest in chrome door handles.  These are easy to install and come in a range of options so you have choices.  Best of all they are a great way to create a car of yesteryear look to your current vehicle.

There are other ways that you can personalize the look of the car to keep it looking fantastic.  For example, you may want to consider adding fender flares to the vehicle.  This is a fantastic way to get that edge.  On a truck, this really helps to complete the look and give it that perfected look.  Depending on which style you choose, you’ll have a great looking fender.  Also, consider the accessories you need to complete the function of the vehicle.  There is no sense in investing in any type of truck without a truck bed liner to protect it.

Taking the time to make these small changes to the truck of car you have will make a big difference when it comes to adding character to the vehicle.

Keeping Car Aesthetics with Efforts on Efficiency

For me, someone who puts practicality and efficiency above all else when it comes to cars, the “dream machine” would undoubtedly be green and ideally have water vapor exhaust. Unfortunately, you can’t go into a body shop and ask for that kind of car modification – yet. The current trend in car design is leaning toward fuel efficiency, but does that mean aesthetics will be lost?

Even if companies decided to focus their efforts on making me happy with their improved efficient designs, people will always want something visually appealing. It’s hard not to marvel in awe at the ways people can mod their cars today and transform them into works of art. Everything from chrome custom wheels to aluminum floor mats look bold and futuristic. In the past, those features and things like vertical doors and fiber glass fenders were seen only in the movies. Not all of the popular mods today are designed to have a space-age look. Retro styles, including whitewall tires and the historically-inspired grant steering wheels, show off old-school cool in the new millennium. It’ll be interesting to see how, and if, the designs we use today will be part of the transportation of tomorrow.

Tire and Wheel Packages Go A Long Way in Corvette Restoration

I joined a classic Corvette car club recently. I belonged to one when I was younger but I stopped going when I got too busy with college. Now I have a little more time and I’m restoring one so I really feel like I get a lot out of it. Some of the other members helped me find rims for sale that were just right. And a few of them helped me install the rims.

Restoring cars is something that a lot of people love to do. I enjoy it because it gets me away from my everyday life and it keeps me from watching television. I don’t want to be stuck inside all of the time with nothing to do. Instead I want to be fixing up my Corvette. And if I’m not fixing it up, I want to be deciding what needs to be done next and where I’m going to get the parts. For instance I knew I was going to need to find great tire and wheel packages.

Fixing it up helps me to feel valuable. I spend over 40 hours a week at a desk, looking at a computer screen. When I get home the last thing I want to do and should do is stare at another one. Fixing it up myself helps me to save money and that makes me feel good. So not only do I enjoy it, it builds my self-worth.

22 Inch Rims and Tires Set Car-Enthusiast Apart

I love the summertime because I always take road trips and I make them where I can stop at a car show here or there when I’m on my way to my destination. I love hot rods and I love all of the accessories that people use on their cars and trucks.

I went to the Barrett-Jackson Car Show when I was in Scottsdale, Arizona. I saw beautiful truck rims and chrome wheels. The color of chrome just makes the cars look valuable. And they keep it so shiny. You would never see any dirt or dust or fingerprints on any of them.

I don’t compete in these shows but I always get asked about my 22 rims and tires. They are hard to find and people always want to know where I got them. I won’t tell them but I think a couple of people figured out that they were custom made for me. I chose what I wanted and how I wanted it and I paid to have them made. People always want the hard-to-find things. I guess it’s pretty rotten of me to not tell them but I need to stand out and if everyone got the same ones I have, I would just blend into the crowd.

I like to see the super fixed up cars and trucks but I like to drive a normal car. The only thing super nice on my car is the rims and tires and I have a nice paint job.

General Grabber Tires Make Classic Look Great

I just got my first fixer-upper car. I am so excited. I can’t wait to do everything from rebuilding the engine to getting General grabber tires. I want the interior to be cherry red and I want the outside to be very black. I think that will look great. I also want 20 rims to make it look smooth and to ride nicely. I think that chrome will go beautifully with the colors I’ve picked out.

I also need to buy toyo tires for my son’s car. He’ll be going off to college in the fall and I want him to be safe. He is a Sooner  and the weather in Oklahoma  can be harsh. I want him to be able to drive home during the holidays and what not. I hope that he likes it there. The football games are great.

I also hope that my son won’t try to talk me in to giving him my classic once it’s fixed up. I spend some time and money updating my Toyota and then he talked me into giving it to him for a graduation present. But that’s okay. He makes great grades and he plays soccer for the school and another team so I didn’t want to make him get a job while he was doing so good.
